Motorola PrPMC600 200 and 250 MHz MPC8240 processor, 32–64MB ECC DRAM, LAN Simple Type: CPU Board

The PrPMC600 is a Processor PCI Mezzanine Card (PrPMC) (refer to the VITA-32-199x Processor PMC Standard for Processor PCI Mezzanine cards for more information). It is based on the PowerPC MPC8240 integrated processor and PCI interface controller. The PrPMC600 features 1MB of socket Boot FLASH ROM, up to 8 MB expansion FLASH ROM, 32 or 64 MB of onboard ECC SDRAM with optional memory expansion capability, and a front panel accessible fast ethernet port. A single UART and RS-232 interface is provided for debug capabilities. The PrPMC interfaces to the host board PCI bus via the PMC P11 and P12 connectors which provide a 33MHz, 32-bit PCI interface between the host board and the PrPMC600. The PrPMC600 draws +5V and +3.3V through the PMC connectors. The onboard Processor Core Power Supply derives the core voltage from the +5V power. The clock generator derives all of the required onboard clocks from the PCI clock input on P11. The PrPMC600 has a standard RJ45 front panel connector onboard for access to the fast ethernet port and a 2mm header onboard to support module debug. This header provides the interface to the debug serial RS-232 port and an interface to the processor JTAG/COP port.
